The Kef Blade is a further development of the much-discussed concept speaker that Kef introduced in 2009. The streamlined Kef Blade contains the most progressive technology that Kef has to offer at this moment.
New Uni-Q Array
The core of the Kef Blade is formed by a brand new Uni-Q driver array. Derived from the Concept Blade Project, with a new, larger, high performance ventilated tweeter, mounted in the acoustic heart of a new metal cone LF.MF driver, it combines a huge bandwidth with effortless dynamics, unnoticeable distortion and an exceptional clarity.Separated bass chambers
The twinned bass drivers are mounted in separate sound boxes that are separated by means of an internal wall. By increasing the frequency of the internal standing waves to far above the relay frequency, the need for damping material (which would otherwise reduce the quality of the bass reproduction) is reduced. Nothing has been overlooked, in the search for ultimate clarity across the full frequency spectrum.
The design of the Kef Blade
The slim parabolic housing, plastic and acoustically inert, was designed to never get in the way of purity of reproduction. The advanced, hybrid cones are so light and robust, that their moment of possible distortion will never be reached within the required frequency range.
On the inside, you will find clever, new air chambers, suspension and full control over sound waves. Precisely specified, super premium components - all of them functioning without distortion or resonance within their required frequency range - make sure that you will get a significantly more exact sound image than will be possible with conventional speakers.
