The 840C is the crown on Cambridge Audio’s hugely applauded Azur CD player series. Like all Azur products, the 840C also shows an unprecedented performance level and skill in its price class. But instead of reconfirming the expectation pattern on entry level, the arena that Cambridge Audio is generally associated with, they are now about to compete in the medium price segment. The 840C has many technologies developed by Cambridge Audio, such as: ATF™ (Adaptive Time Filtering) and asynchronous upsampling, developed in cooperation with Anagram Technologies from Switzerland. This system very cleverly interpolates the 16-bit/44.1kHz CD signal to 24-bit/384kHz by using a 32-bit “Analog Devices Black Fin” digital signal converter. The signals achieved in this way are fed to two 24-bit/384kHz d/a converters of the same manufacturer, in double differential set-up. For a perfect channel separation, each converter takes care of one channel, and in order to obtain a distortion that is as low as possible, the converters operate fully differentially.€ 1299,-

A sound system that sounds perfect in our store may prove disappointing at home. Sound quality can be affected by a range of factors, including positioning of the loud speakers, wall covering, carpets, curtains, furniture etc. Your viewing experience can be affected by the same factors. We employ specially trained and certified advisers and installers who will optimize your plasma TV or projector to your specific living or work environment.
Our advisers will carefully assess the room(s) in which you would like to install the AV system. Once we have received your floor plan, complete with dimensions and design details of the room in which you would like to place the sound system, we will calculate the sound effects created by the design and furnishings of this room and select one of our Palazzo 21 listening rooms that best match this room. This in turn enables us to tailor our advice to the specific needs and wishes of the customer.
You will then be invited to listen to the selected system and to compare it to other systems. Backed by years of experience, we know that the purchase of Hi-fi equipment is a highly personal process. We therefore recommend that you bring your own CDs with you. Our advice and demonstrations are entirely free of charge and free of obligation.
