Denon DCD-SA1

CD Player

The soulmate of the Denon PMA-SA1 amplifier is the Denon DCD-SA1 stereo SA-CD player. This 21-kilo CD/Super Audio-CD player was given at least as much attention as the amplifier. It also includes the cast and separated feeds and frame reinforcements to suppress resonance. Conversion from digital to analogue sound is in the hands of Denon's Advanced AL24 Processing system. This converter is an advanced development of the ALPHA processor, introduced in 1992. The aim of this processor is to come as close as possible to the original analogous signal, so that signal post-processing is avoided as much as possible, resulting in the best possible reproduction. To make other digital equipment also benefit from this high-grade D/A conversion, the Denon DCD-SA1 also has a digital input. In digital audio, jitter is considered as one of the principal sources of distortion. For this reason, extra attention was given to the development and positioning of the masterclock, which is responsible for controlling the digital section. Measurements show that the reproduction is virtually jitter-free, so that the distortion is kept to an absolute minimum.

A sound system that sounds perfect in our store may prove disappointing at home. Sound quality can be affected by a range of factors, including positioning of the loud speakers, wall covering, carpets, curtains, furniture etc. Your viewing experience can be affected by the same factors. We employ specially trained and certified advisers and installers who will optimize your plasma TV or projector to your specific living or work environment.

Our advisers will carefully assess the room(s) in which you would like to install the AV system. Once we have received your floor plan, complete with dimensions and design details of the room in which you would like to place the sound system, we will calculate the sound effects created by the design and furnishings of this room and select one of our Palazzo 21 listening rooms that best match this room. This in turn enables us to tailor our advice to the specific needs and wishes of the customer.

You will then be invited to listen to the selected system and to compare it to other systems. Backed by years of experience, we know that the purchase of Hi-fi equipment is a highly personal process. We therefore recommend that you bring your own CDs with you. Our advice and demonstrations are entirely free of charge and free of obligation.

Why not arrange a visit to the listening rooms of our Palazzo? You'll be amazed at what you see and hear!
