The Quad II-forty mono power amplifier still offers the same elegance it offered in the fifties. The power amplifier was designed by Tim daParavicini. The quality of the housing and the internal quality have also been greatly improved. The chassis of the Quad II-forty was substantially improved and enlarged in order to be able to house the new, much bigger components. When it comes to the Quad II-forty, the modern listener has nothing to complain about, output goes hand in hand with dynamics and all this in a controlled manner.
