Whatever type of disc you want to play - CD, SACD, DVD-Video or Blu-ray - the Profile 2.0 Marantz UD9004 blu-ray player will deliver extraordinary results. In the heart of the video circuit you will find the celebrated Silicon Optix Realta processor. It offers "Hollywood Quality Video", or HQV, which is really a video processing platform with a professional broadcast quality. Some of its great features are pixel-by-pixel I/P conversion, 1080p upscaling through a fully 10-bits process for standard definition (SD) images, Detail Enhancement, DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) and a very good analogue video output with a 297MHz/12bit Video D/A converter. To further improve the 1080/24p image, the Marantz UD9004 is able to separate the audio and video signals through double HDMI outputs - in order to deliver a result that is as pure as possible. This AV Pure Direct mode minimizes the negative effect of signals that run together and reduces degradation thanks to a shorter signal path and less processing.
